Halloween

I am looking forward the Halloween parade on 10/31. Last year, my company hold a costume competition for neighbor kindergarten. We also had to drees up. There are witch, captain of hooker, snow white, evil, superman....etc. I costumed a pumpink. Accidentally, one girl dressed like me so I took this picture.But I forgot to bring my costume and my pumpkin headband to come here. It was so sad. Otherwise, I might be the part of the parade. Many people told me the parade will gonna so carzy and it is the best event in the world for 10.31. Hence, I must to join in. No matter I still have ecnonomic midterm on Thursday.

Shop the winer stuff

Today I went to SOHO to shop the winter stuff. These days froze me. SOHO is a good place for shop. There is not only famous brand stores but also elaborate stores. Broadway street is full of people. All stuffs in the store was mess. The fitting room waited a long line. It seems the clothes are all free. Although one friend told me it will have a big discount during thinkgiving, I stiil bought a new coat. It cost me a fortune. However, I got a bargin scarf. Its origin price is $10 per scarf. Me and my frined just was curious about it. We took a look then went away. Suddenly, the vendor loudly shout, " two for $10". Oh, it was really cheap. Therefore, we went back and bought it. We shop from 1p.m to 7p.m. We felt time still not enough although everyone had at least three bags in their hands.

The develop of my room

The first stage: The beds are separated. There are only two beds and desks in the room. The wall is white without anything



The second stage: We put the postcard on the wall and the map of America. We buought colorful pin then pin the city where we went to. We put two beds togther and stick our names on the wall even the friend who sometimes would stay over.

The third stage: one day, we pick a shelf from the corner of street. That was not the frist time to pick the furniture from the street. We had picked a shoe carbinet, a desk of living room, a chair. Before I came to New York, my sister's friend had told me that all his furniture picked from the street when he lived in here. At the begining, I did not believed him. I realized now. So I keep eyes on the recylce garbage now. There is always surprised.

This month is not my month

This month is really not my month. Two weeks ago, I prepared to go to school. I kind of rushed. I tried to put my contact on but I can't find my left eye of content. There was solution inside but no contact. How come? I really do not know. I am a hyperopia, so the contact was expensive and have to order it. I did not bring the precription, and I got the contact two months ago. That's so sad. Therefore, I only can do is to call my sister to help give another new one and mail to me. After few days, I took my electric dictaionary from my backpack. When I open it, its LCD monitor was broken. It all became the black. OH MY GOD!!! What can I say...Al bad thing was happened. It was not stopping yet. I ordered a book from Amazon.com. The book was supposed arrive before today. I was afarid I was be cheatd because I checked the seller's feedback was not good. Hence, I wrote the e-mail to the seller. Fortunately, the seller replied the mail. It said, "I had sent it on 10/16 already. it had sent to " The seller sent to the wrong guy.I need to wait more three days. Sigh....All bad things happened in one month.

DC trip- part two

Weather: cloudy and shower
Tempature: it migh be 55F
Journey: We woke up around 12 p.m. We decided to go to the outlet shopping mall because the weather is not well. I was freezing soI bought a puffer coat. I though it could be used for tomorrow.Great! We left there around 8 p.m. After we went home, we watched "The United 93" . It is a solemn movie. The people who on the plane was so brave and honor. I admire them.

Journey: We also woke up around 12 p.m. It seem my puffer coat can't work.First, they took me to Georgetown University where she and her boyfriend are studying now. We walked to school from her apartment. Suddenly, I realized I was in Virgina. There is a potomac river between DC and Virgina. Cool!! I got a lesson. Georgetown University was so beauiful and historical. It even has a cemetery at University. That sounds a little odd but kind of cool. Then we went to the M street which it is the most busy street. We can't change our shopping nature. We were shopping again. I must be out of my mind. I came DC to shop, and it has tax on clothes. We spent all afternoon on shopping. They said: " It was time to go the National Mall. My friend told me there are gorgeous at night. " Yes, they were right. The Washington Monument was lighted up. The Lincoln Memorial was so solemn. My friend bought the signal len carmera. That was really amazing. The picture looked like a postcard. See---------->

Journey: It was my last day in DC. We stiil woke up at 12 a.m. Correctly, I just had few hours because my bus was 5:45 p.m. We went to National mall again. There are many musuem can visit. We chose the National Gallery. They said, "You can't compare it to The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Metropolitan is the best." Yet, I had never been to the Metropolitan. I wanted to go the White House but we ran out of time. On our way to subway, We saw the National Archives. It is a scene of the film "National Treasure". That was so surprised. I bought a copy of the Declaration of Independence like Nicolas Cage did in the film.

I have to go to DC again. There are many visiting spot I missed such as White House the most important one, the Pentegon, the Jefferson Momerial, the zoo where has pandas...etc. I think the best time will be next April because it will be cherry blossoms season.

DC trip- part one

Last Wednesday night, I was used to message with my friend. One of my high school classmates messaged me. Here are our dialogue:
She said, " Do you have any plan on this long week."
I said, "No, I might study for the midterm."
She said, " I am so boring. I am thinking about you might come to visit me this week."
I said, " That is a really great suggestion. Ok, I come to see you."
Then I invited my roomates to go with me but they all said they have to perpare for the Operation management midterm." It was so pity because I didn't took that course. Ha ha~~~~
Therefore, I ordered the bus ticket online right away. I was so excited about this trip. However, the bus drove me crazy. It was behind schedule. It was supposed departure NY at 6:00 p.m but the bus came around 7:30 p.m. When I arrived, it is 1 a.m. This was not the terrible thing I met. My friend couldn't pick me up because she was on her friend's birthday party. Oh my god!! I never been to DC before. She told me how to go to the subway by the cell phone. I had to take the subway by myself. Fortunately, the subway in DC isn't hard to understand and the train, the station are so clean and bright. That was relief. Finally, I met my friend at 2a.m. They took me to the birthday party. They was playing "Truth or Dare". Athough I didn't join the game, I still can hear.The topic was R-rate. I was shocked. After all, we just know a few minutes. We came her apartment around 4 a.m. My first day of trip was over. to be continue.....

under construction

The Upstair of Our apartment has being constrution for a week. At eight o'clock, my landlord called us to open the door every day or ring the door bell. That is make me angry because I have bad temper if I am unwilling get up. More than that, they start to drill and beat the floor. Every time the beat the floor I felt the ceiling migt be fall. I cannot go back to sleep. Ah.... It was really annoying. They even suspend water supply without notice at twelve clock on Tursday. During the time, I was cooking to prepare my dinner box. I was panic. I am afraid I cannot to go school because I was sticky and smell not good. Frotunately, after fourty minute the water was coming. Otherwise, I wouldl miss the class another time. The other day, they really made our the lampshade which it is made by glass fell down. Luckly, nobody got hurt. Wish they finish the construction on time or I might carzy.
